Winter Sports Tryout Information

  • Winter Sports tryouts for the JV and Varsity will begin on Monday, November 17.
    • There will be a meeting in the Kate Walton Field House at 3PM on 11/17. 
  • Winter Sports tryouts for the Modified level will being on Monday, December 1.
    • There will be a meeting in the JWB gym at 3PM on 12/1.

2025-2026 Sports Registration

Open to students that are in 7th-12th Grade this 2025-2026 school year. 

All athletes must complete the online sports sign-up. Please click the registration link for the school that your student attends below. In addition, you will need to complete the following steps:

To be completed by a person in parental relation and submitted on or after July 18th for JV and Varsity Student-Athletes AND August 4th for Modified student athletes: 

Interval Forms will not be accepted before the following dates:
(to be done every season)

  • JV & Varsity: October 22, 2025 

  • Modified: November 1, 2025 

Required forms can also be picked up at the athlete's school medical office.  Completed paperwork can be dropped off at the athlete's school medical office. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the athletic office at 845.943.3737.

Registration/clearances are done completely online. Parents will receive an email after their student’s paperwork has been submitted, reviewed, and cleared. You should check your email for updates on what they may still need to have cleared.  That is how the nurses, from each school, will communicate about whether the athlete is cleared, or not.

Physical Information

Physicals will be offered at the KHS Medical Office this summer. Please call 845-943-3738 on or after July 7th between the hours of 7:00am - 12:00pm to schedule on for your student. 

All student athletes that carry medications, such as inhalers, epi-pens, etc., those that need required immunizations and those that need the Dominic Murray Sudden Cardiac Arrest Form are required to see their own physician. The school physician is not permitted to clear athletes with cardiac issues without written documentation form their primary doctor, not are they able to write medical prescription for then. 

As a reminder, student-athletes must be registered and medically cleared by the start of the try out date to participate. Please submit early. Thank you!
